Project background
The Tubu field is located in OML 52, in the Niger Delta, offshore Bonny Island, Nigeria. Proven reserves at the field stand at 45 MMboe of hydrocarbons and production is expected at 10,000 b/d of oil. Reservoirs at Tubu contain oil, non-associated gas, and associated gas accumulations.The field will be developed in phases. The first phase covers the exploitation of oil while the second phase has been planned to exploit gas from the Tubu field.Phase 1 of the project includes the construction of an unmanned 12-slot wellhead platform and the drilling of 8 wells which will be tied into the existing Langley mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) and Ima wellhead platform located at the Ima field in OML 117 through a 12-kilometer (km), 12-inch pipeline.
