Project background
Sarawak Economic Development Corp (SEDC) subsidiary, SEDC Energy, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sumitomo and Eneos to set up the first green hydrogen plant with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes per year in Bintulu, Sarawak. The project is expected to put Sarawak at the forefront of the new "hydrogen economy" in the Southeast Asian region.
